Let's pray!!

It's easy to fall to our knees and ask God for something... but will you fall to your knees even when He tells you NO? Will you continue to worship Him for who He is, despite enduring trial after trial? Will you stay faithful?
Let's pray together:
Father God, we thank You for who YOU are, not just for what You can do! I repent for treating You like a genie in a bottle, for only coming to You to ask for something or to ask You to do something. I repent for not honoring You as my Father and for allowing my faith to be based on what You do for me instead of who You are to me. You are my Father, my Lord and Savior, my everything! I can't breathe unless You put breath into my lungs; I'm literally NOTHING without You.
l ask that You remove everything from my heart and mind that is not of You. Fill those spaces with Your love, Your joy, Your peace, and Your plan for my life. Guide my heart to desire everything that YOU want me to have. Make my ears sensitive to hear Your voice. Remove the spirit of rebellion from me and instill the spirit of discipline and obedience.
Lord, I thank You! I thank You for forgiving me of my sins. I thank You for still listening to me, even when l wasn't as faithful to You as I should have been. Please continue to correct me and turn my heart towards YOU. I love You so much! In Jesus Christ's mighty name, I pray, amen.
Stay faithful and trust in His plan.
Assignment:
Before this year is over, consider fasting! God wants to pour His blessings into a clean vessel, and that means we must be purified. In Saint Luke 5:36-39, Jesus shares a parable that teaches us we cannot put new garments upon old ones. He shared this wisdom when asked why the disciples of John often fast and pray (Saint Luke 5:33).
Before you begin your fast, ask God, "Is there a specific kind of fast You want me to do? And for how long?" There are many types of fasts in the Bible, such as the Daniel fast, the Esther fast, and the fast that Jesus did. This type of fast involves turning down your plate! Today's society has tried to change God's meaning of fasting, but it's important to remember His original intention: no food for the duration He instructs and during the hours He tells you.
I highly recommend sitting with Him today and seeking His guidance about your fast. Turn down the noise before the year ends and fall into His arms and His presence. I truly believe that He wants many of us to turn down our plates and eliminate outside noise (TV, social media, phone conversations) so that we can focus on Him.
Take this to God, lay it at His feet, and ask Him if this is for you! If you feel like "there's no way l can do a fast from eating for 3 days," that might be a sign you need to do it. Speaking from personal experience, when I felt like that and followed through with the fast, afterward, I felt... CLEAN! Don't allow your flesh to win!
Your flesh is not your God!
Stay strong and walk boldly in faith!
