Don't go back!

Hey, I wanted to share something that's been on my heart. When God leads you into your promised land, it's so important not to turn back to the things He's delivered you from.

Keep moving forward in His path and remember the purpose He has placed in you.

Remember, the Lord isn't fond of backsliding.

Jeremiah 2:19 (KJV) says, "Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts."

This verse is a reminder that God will allow your own wickedness to correct you. So, here's a thought: would you rather be corrected by God or by the very wickedness you've turned back to? Personally, I'd rather be corrected by God, because it means His hand is still on me.

If I'm corrected by wickedness, it feels like God has allowed something else to take over, and that's not what I want for my life.

When you step into your promised land, stay focused and diligent. Continue to apply everything God has taught you in your previous seasons. Those seasons were a time of reconstruction, where He removed old things to replace them with things of Him.

Now that you know what God stands for, be obedient and apply His tools and His will to your life.

If you're struggling to understand His will for your life, dive into your Bible daily. The Bible reveals God's character and His will, showing us what He stands for and what He does not.

As you study His word, you'll be able to discern His will in your life. For instance, if an opportunity requires you to lie to gain something, that's a clear sign its not within God's will, because He despises a lying tongue.

I hope this blesses and helps someone today.

God bless you in Jesus' name, amen.
