Breaking Free: Healing from Trauma & Fighting for Your Family
There was a time in my life when childhood trauma had me mentally stuck at that age. Though I had grown physically, emotionally I was frozen in that place of pain. But the moment God set me free—it was like I matured instantly. In those few seconds of His deliverance, I grew up in ways I never imagined.
I see this pattern in my family too—grown adults carrying the weight of childhood wounds. Their bodies mature, their faces age, but spiritually and mentally, they remain locked in the moment of trauma. It’s heartbreaking because so many don’t even realize what’s happening. But this is exactly how the enemy works—keeping people bound, preventing their growth, hindering them from stepping fully into their God-given purpose.
If you see this in your family, PRAY FOR THEM. Go to war for them. Ask the Lord to meet them where they are, to search their hearts and pull that child out of captivity. Pray for healing, restoration, and growth so they can become who God created them to be.
Understand this: Our battle is not against people—it’s against the spirits trying to keep them bound. Stop taking things so personally and start fighting in the spiritual realm! Declare deliverance, plead the blood of Jesus Christ, and rebuke every force that is not of the Holy Spirit—because if it’s not Him, it has to go!
Take this as your wake-up call: Suit up, take your sword—the Word of God—and fight for the freedom of your family! He doesn’t reveal things to you for gossip, but for warfare—so you know what to pray against.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12
